One hundred Woods of the World

If not the most beautiful, certainly the woods displayed are among the most interesting, sought after because of their rarity and used for the most special purpouses.

All good reasons to protect the trees within their echo-system, care about their history and artists who, since the ancient times, have transformed them into works of art.

The wood samples of the Xiloteque are represented by trunk sections, boards, veneers and fine art pieces, followed by pictures and captions describing the relevant tree forests managed in a sustainable way.

The "Private collection of Woods of the world" by Gianni Cantarutti has been lent to Culturalegno for their Road shows.

This collection of wood samples brought together by Culturalegno will greatly contribute enhancing knowledge of wood and has been achieved thanks to many people who have contributed to this project.
